Who We Are
Metropol Credit Reference Bureau (Metropol CRB) was registered in 2010 and licensed in April 2011 to provide credit reference bureau (CRB) services in Kenya. In line with amendments to the Banking Act (Chapter 488) and the CRB and Digital Credit Providers (DCP) regulations, Metropol CRB facilitates full-file credit information sharing while also leveraging alternative data sources.
These include inputs from a wide range of Credit Information Providers (CIPs) such as microfinance institutions (MFIs), SACCOs, utility service providers, mobile lenders/digital credit providers, and businesses that offer goods and services on credit. By doing so, Metropol CRB helps customers improve their access to finance while enabling credit providers to expand their lending capacity and do so profitably.
